yéyé-ette Stella ...the anti-yéyé girl
Stella, alias Stella Zelcer, (and nowadays Stella Vander) was born on December 12, 1950. She is considered a yéyé girl, although she wanted to embody the essence of the anti-yéyé phenomenon. Singing in the 60's at her time of derisively: she even subtitled her EP as "the record that has not been selected for the Eurovision song contest". She had written most of her songs and she recorded 14 EPs from 1963 to 1968: for example "Un air du Folklore auvergnat" : a parody of Sheila's "Folklore Américain" song, and "Beatnicks d'occasion" to criticize this new fashion.
She later joined the band Magma, as well as the band Offering. Nowadays she tours since she recorded a solo album called " épreuves d'amour " (loveproof) as Stella Vander in 1991.

The very beautiful Élisabeth Beauvais was born in Paris on February 22, 1948. She recorded 2 amazing EP's in 1967 before choosing to pursue other interests. She is one very unique and creative artist worth checking out!
